I am passionate about promoting physical activity across the lifespan.
I was appointed as the Running Mayor of Leeds as part of the RunSome campaign in March 2021. I have since moved on to become the Running Mayor of West Yorkshire. I encourage people to run some everyday journeys, commutes and errands. Find out more about the RunSome campaign on RunSome.org.
I have been working with organisations, groups, schools and individuals to discuss and identify ways to make it easier, safer and more enjoyable in Leeds and beyond.

Sporting background
I have run for over 10 years, competing regionally and nationally. My main focus was always endurance - cross country, 10km and half marathon distances. I switched my focus to racewalking in 2017 following my return from the USA. I was initially hoping to just have fun, but within a couple of months, I realized that I had real potential. I have since competed at the World Championships, Commonwealth Games.
