Viet baker

Want fast, fresh and healthy Vietnamese food that you can enjoy in house or take away? Check out the Viet Baker, conveniently located in Headingley, right next to Head of Steam.

A fast food place baking their own bread- unheard of right? Well, the Viet Baker does. Their French inspired Vietnamese baguettes (Banh Mi) are served with a range of fillings and make for brilliant lunch or dinner options. We opted for the special which came with crispy veg, lightly spiced marinated chicken and a fried egg. Yum!

Other dishes that we tried included the tofo pho which is a hot noodle soup with veggies and large slices of toasted tofu. It was warming and almost acted as a drink and main dish. Ideal for those wanting a lighter, yet filling option. We thought it could have done with a few more veggies to balance out the noodles, but none the less it was tasty. Especially when topped up with a little soy sauce!

One of the sides we enjoyed were the Viet Baker summer rolls which came with a super tasty soy dipping sauce. The rolls themselves were really fresh and filled with rice noodles, prawns and veg. You could also try their pork or veg rolls which I am sure would be equally delicious.

Check out the Viet Baker for yourselves and let us know what you think. You can comment here, or you can send us a message on Instagram (@LeedsFoodGuide). We would love to hear from you.
