Comptoir Libanais is a resturant serving up fresh, healthy Lebanese food in a setting that rivals eateries you'd expect to find in the Middle East. Last night we tried out the Vegan Feast at Comptoir Libanais, and we were not disappointed.
For just £12.95 we enjoyed a generous 3 course meal with two starters, a choice of mains and a refreshing coconut desert. Check out the menu:
We were shocked by how much food was included. To start we enjoyed a quinoa tabbouleh which was loaded with fresh mint, tomatoes and onion. Along side the tabbouleh we enjoyed a lightly spiced red pepper hummos with warm pitta bread. Check out @LeedsFoodGuide for a pic!
Next up were the mains. We tried both the tagine and the couscous salad. We preferred the rich, deeply spiced tagine which was served with rice over the couscous as we thought that the couscous was a little dry and lacked the traditional flavours that we would associate with the Lebanon. We thought it could have been much improved with some sauce or dressing. However we still enjoyed both dishes and again were amazed by how much food we were served!

Along side the tagine we ordered some falafel because we love them. We are so glad we did because they were incredible! Crispy, moist and served with a delicious tahini sauce.
To finish we were served coconut mouhalbia which was like a panacotta with a smooth texture and a lightly sweet flavour. We loved the sweet fruits on the top and the sweet honey syrup that was poured on top.
Comptoir Libanais is located in Trinity, right next to the Everyman Cinema. It is a great place to eat with friends and family. Their menus are extensive with dishes for everyone. This time we enjoyed the vegan menu, however we are excited to go back and try even more dishes!
