Craving a good Chinese meal? Want excellent service and seriously delicious dishes? Look no further than Tattu - an incredible Chinese eating experience.
The menu is organised so that you can enjoy Dim Sum, followed by a selection of small plates, then a main course accompanied by a side or two, and then, if you have space, a dessert.
Instead of Dim Sum, we opted for some salted edamame beans to nibble whilst we chose our dishes. The we chose our selection...
To start we enjoyed a couple of small plates including: Seared Tuna with ponzu, truffle aioli and caviar- it was 'cooked' in the loosest terms to perfection, tasted delicious and was perfectly seasoned by the caviar jewels; and Chilli Salt Baby Squid with Sweet chilli and spring onion which was so good dipped in Tattu house soy sauce.
My personal favorite small plate was the kimchi crab cakes which you can see below. The fish cakes were soft on the inside with a crispy outer coating and were served with delicious sweet and sticky sauces. Super moorish!
Up next was the mains. We selected the wild mushroom and chicken dish, shown below. The chicken was moist, and the lotus crisps added an awesome crunch. We were not overwhelmed by the spinach as it was pretty plain, but otherwise the dish was fab. We enjoyed it with a side of sweet and soy grilled asparagus and beansprout noodles- both of which were super tasty.
The second main that we opted for was the king prawn extravaganza. It was pretty expensive, but the prawns were cooked perfectly, and the garlicky side sauce was an excellent accompaniment. We enjoyed the prawns with egg fried rice and lots of soy sauce.
We didn't have any space for desserts this time, but we will certainly be back as the desserts looked breathtaking! Lets just say there was lots of chocolate, berries and nitrogen smoke!
