Coffee on the Crescent is a super cool and sustainable coffee shop located in Hyde Park. With locally sourced food, incredibly rich and flavorsome Leeds roasted coffee, and locally created art, an absolute gem.
Owned and run by Tim Linley, an ex professional cricket player, Coffee on the Crescent is full of inspiration (including books, art and photos).

As keen sports people ourselves, we instantly hit it off (no pun intended :P) with Tim and chatted about the ups and downs of sporting life, and how running a Leeds cafe compares, whilst enjoying coffee and cake!
Tim recommended the Tarte and Berry salted caramel brownie which was phenomenal! Super chocolaty, just gooey enough with a crunchy top, and finished off with a pool of sticky caramel. Absolute heaven. To go with the brownie we opted for a creamy cappuccino made with an Ethiopian coffee blend from a coffee roasters within walking distance of the cafe.
We also couldn't resit the homemade granola which was super crunchy thanks to the oat clusters, pecans and almonds. The granola was served with a creamy vegan yogurt, berries and sweet fruit jam. Alongside the granola we opted for the matcha latte which was creamy, hot and soothing- ideal for a snowy Sunday morning.
Coffee on the Crescent is a great venue for those who want to work, take a break, or meet friends- all whilst enjoying locally-sourced food and drink. The cafe itself has a Scandi feel with huge Victorian floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, an untreated wooden floor, and clean white walls. The cafe also boasts handmade benches with off cuts used to create the unique wooden platters that the food and drink are served on- a really lovely touch.
Created to serve the best tasting and most ethically-sourced coffee to the local residents of Hyde Park, but we also want our space to support those who are turning their dreams into action by providing opportunities to showcase their talents.
Coffee on the Crescent is an absolutely incredible coffee spot. Pop in on your way to work or uni, whilst waiting for the bus, after Woodhouse Moor ParkRun, to get on with some work or just to relax with friends. There are also some great events being organised (next event is a poetry event on March 14th)- others to follow so keep your eyes peeled!
